Fees & Pricing
We believe that our pricing structures for all of the different types of work we do offer excellent value and reflect a willingness to service our clients efficiently and effectively without compromising their right to quality legal and strategic advice.
We will discuss with you one (or a combination) of the following methods of billing you for our work:
- Fixed-fee quote: this model will give you absolute certainty around how much a particular piece of work is going to cost and is used most commonly by us for our training work and also any contract and policy review work – please note that part-payment may be required prior to any work being commenced for work priced on a fixed-fee basis.
- Monthly retainer arrangements: PCS is one of the first Australian law firms to offer retainer arrangements. For a set monthly fee you will be able to contact us at any time for advice, relevant legislative information, assistance with preparation of contracts and letters, representation up to and including conciliation for most employment-related disputation and a set number of hours for training.
- Time-based billing: while often criticised, it is our experience that there are certain types of work (usually litigation) that are best done on a time-costed basis so that our clients only pay for work actually done and so our interests align with our client’s interest in ensuring efficient service. In setting our hourly charge rates for members of our team we have had regard to their experience in their market, their standings in various industry surveys and also the role they play within PCS’ overall team structure.
Please note that some of PCS’ services are premium products and attract higher fees.
